With no major marathons being held for some time, and in top of that, my groin injury has not healed well, it’s hard to get motivated to run a marathon.
I’ve had pain deep in my groin muscles since the fall of 2019 and I’ve attended the orthopaedic clinic. Groins are the part of the body that connect the legs to the body. I had an MRI scan, but they couldn’t clearly identify where the pain was in my groin.
My doctor gives me physiological saline injections periodically to loosen up the tightness in my muscles. In addition to the injection therapy, I’ve been stretching, massaging, and doing strength training.
I’m not sure when I’ll be fully recovered. This is going to be a long period.
