I passed through the border between Ventimiglia and Menton in 1999. I had no idea that this peaceful border, which appeared in the film La Stanza del Figlio, would be in the news. This problem is nobody’s fault. I feel sorry for the people who had nowhere to go and had to flee their homeland.
