Bria Skonberg is a trumpeter, as well as a singer that won the Juno Award for Jazz Album of the Year in 2017. The Juno Jazz Award is said to be the Canadian Grammy Award, so I was surprised and SO happy for her.
I heard her performance at Birdland by chance (Please check New York) , but I was impressed by her talent and it made me buy her album immediately.
I always thought that she deserves to be more well known.
