With no major marathons being held for some time, and on top of that, my groin injury has not healed well, it’s hard to get motivated to run a marathon.
I have had pain deep in my groin muscles since the fall of 2019 and I have attended the orthopaedic clinic. Groins are the part of the body that connect the legs to the body. I had an MRI scan, but they could not clearly identify where the pain was in my groin.
My doctor gives me physiological saline injections periodically to loosen up the tightness in my muscles. In addition to the injection therapy, I have been stretching, massaging, and doing strength training.
I am not sure when I will be fully recovered. This is going to be a long period.
